two days before christmas (here in NZ at time of writing it is 2am on the 24th of December and the quakes happened 2pm on the 23rd) christchurch where i live gets hit by a 5.8 and 90 minutes later a 6.0 quake and its many aftershocks. im personally a bit stressed out about it

How's it going in Christchurch?no problem, we're in the process of packing up the house into a shipping container in preparation for the house to be knocked down. as the land is deemed unsuitable to rebuild on we'll have to rebuild elsewhere
That's good. I could offer some advice on which house to go for but I think you know what to look for.
